Discovery of Similar Blocks from Very Large-scale Ontologies

چکیده
Large scale ontology matching is a labour-intensive and timeconsuming process. To alleviate the problem, many automated solutions have been proposed. In order to avoid the drawbacks of the existing solutions, this paper proposes to cut down the number of concept pairs for which a similarity measure must be computed during ontology matching. More important, the main contribution is to deal subsets of concepts pair: on the one hand, if two concepts are highly similar, we leverage the concept hierarchy to skip subsequent matching between sub-concepts of one concept and super-concepts of the other concept. On the other hand, if two concepts are weakly similar, we leverage the locality phenomenon of matching to skip subsequent matching between one concept and the neighbours of the other concept.

Centralized Clustering Method To Increase Accuracy In Ontology Matching Systems
Ontology is the main infrastructure of the Semantic Web which provides facilities for integration, searching and sharing of information on the web. Development of ontologies as the basis of semantic web and their heterogeneities have led to the existence of ontology matching. By emerging large-scale ontologies in real domain, the ontology matching systems faced with some problem like memory con...
متن کاملEffect of large blocks position on stability analysis of block-in-matrix slopes
Bimrocks are complex geomaterials that are defined as mixtures of rocks composed of geotechnically significant blocks within a matrix of finer texture. Bimslopes are made from bimrocks and are usually seen in weathered and shallow environments. Some characteristics of blocks affecting the strength of bimrocks include VBP (Volumetric Block Proportion), orientation, and arrangement, which have im...
متن کاملAlignment-Based Partitioning of Large-Scale Ontologies
Ontology alignment is an important task for information integration systems that can make different resources, described by various and heterogeneous ontologies, interoperate. However very large ontologies have been built in some domains such as medicine or agronomy and the challenge now lays in scaling up alignment techniques that often perform complex tasks. In this paper, we propose two part...
متن کاملOntology Design Patterns for Large-Scale Data Interchange and Discovery
Data and information integration remains a major challenge for our modern information-driven society whereby people and organizations often have to deal with large data volumes coming from semantically heterogeneous sources featuring significant variety between them. In this context, data integration aims to provide a unified view over data residing at different sources through a global schema,...
متن کاملEvaluation of Updating Methods in Building Blocks Dataset
With the increasing use of spatial data in daily life, the production of this data from diverse information sources with different precision and scales has grown widely. Generating new data requires a great deal of time and money. Therefore, one solution is to reduce costs is to update the old data at different scales using new data (produced on a similar scale). One approach to updating data i...
